The Hobart Cup is committed to providing a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment for every child and young person.


If you have a concern about the safety or wellbeing of a child

  • Make sure the child is safe.

  • Listen calmly if a child tells you something.

  • Do not question, investigate or attempt to determine whether an allegation is true.

  • Do not promise confidentiality.

  • Record what you saw, heard or were told as accurately as possible.

  • Notify the Tournament Director immediately.

  • Complete a Hobart Cup Incident Report where appropriate.

If a child is in immediate danger, or there is an emergency, call 000.

Concerns about a child's safety or wellbeing can also be reported to Tasmania's Strong Families Safe Kids Advice and Referral Line on 1800 000 123.
