Serious injury or medical incident

• Stop play if necessary.

• Make the immediate area safe.

• Arrange first aid.

• Call 000 where required.

• Keep emergency access clear.

• Notify the Tournament Director.

• Complete an Incident Report once the immediate situation is under control.

Lost or missing child

• Notify the Venue Manager immediately.

• Keep the reporting parent, guardian or responsible adult with the Venue Manager where possible.

• Alert relevant Hobart Cup officials at the venue.

• Do not publicly broadcast unnecessary personal details about the child.

• Contact the Tournament Director immediately.

• Call 000 if there is an immediate safety concern.

• Complete an Incident Report.

Threats, violence or serious behaviour

• Prioritise safety and do not place yourself at risk.

• Stop play or move people away from the situation if necessary.

• Contact the Tournament Director.

• Call 000 where there is violence, a serious threat or immediate danger.

• Complete an Incident Report.

Unsafe field, goal or equipment

• Stop use of anything presenting an immediate safety risk.

• Notify the Tournament Director.

• Do not resume use until the hazard has been addressed.

Severe weather

• Suspend play if conditions become unsafe, including lightning, extreme wind or another immediate hazard.

• Move people to a safe area where appropriate.

• Notify the Tournament Director.

• Play must not resume until the Tournament Director advises the Venue Manager that it is safe to do so.

Evacuation

• Follow instructions from emergency services and tournament officials.

• Keep emergency vehicle access clear.

• Follow the venue-specific emergency information and assembly arrangements.
